In his professional life, Tom Ewing was a senior scientist and associate division director at Argonne National Laboratory, a US Department of Energy lab operated by the University of Chicago. He enjoys photography, fishing, gardening, cooking, traveling and spoiling grandkids. He has been very active in the Wisconsin lakes movement, and held leadership positions and supported numerous lake protection activities.
